Chatterton Dairy Ashford Hike and Bike Trail and Addicks Dam Road Southeast Hiking Trail. Reddleshire Lane bridge to the Addicks Dam road, from there I hiked the Bear Creek to Chatterton trail. There is a trail that surrounds the wetland area, saw some fish activity in the water. Definitely worth a try if you’re into the outdoors!

My go to jogging spot. If you want to get away from people this is my top pick. Head east away from the subdivisions and you usually have the place to yourself. I see deer often, once a wolf, hawks and the occasional rabbit. It's a good spot to burn a few miles without having to dodge people. The only downside is since it's a gravel road and a bit uneven in spots you could twist an ankle and find yourself a.long way back. The views are great too: a few lakes (very shallow wetlands) and thick forrest. I see people coming.and going from the pond areas near the suburban section but haven't done exploration on foot. By drone it goes back for miles. It's likely not for public use so be cautious.

About Addicks Reservoir
Nestled just on the edge of Houston’s bustling atmosphere, Addicks Reservoir offers a refreshing escape into nature. While primarily serving as a flood control measure for the region, this expansive territory is also a sanctuary for the outdoorsy types and wildlife enthusiasts. The area is laced with various trails that cater to both enthusiastic hikers and casual joggers alike. Whether you’re up for a solitary exploration or in need of a serene getaway, head east along the trails that cut through lush, dense forestation and skirt the neighboring wetlands. During your venture, keep an eye out for the rich tapestry of wildlife that calls this area home. You may spot deer gently moving through the trees, hawks circling above, or rabbits darting through the underbrush. For those with a penchant for adventure, it’s worthwhile to explore the surroundings that incredibly stretch on for miles. However, a fair warning for the trail-weary: these paths may be uneven and warrant a sturdy pair of shoes to avoid any unwelcome twists or sprains. Despite being primarily a flood control reservoir, Addicks invites you to discover more than just its functional purpose. Whether you're on foot or wheeling through on a bike, the blend of all-natural beauty and practicality makes this spot a gem of the Houston landscape, waiting to be uncovered.
