A pleasant pond lined with picnic tables. We visited on a Saturday and it was quite crowded. The water never gets particularly deep and the bed of the pond is quite muddy, but the water is clear and the views of the Sierra Buttes are spectacular. Lower Sardine Lake is a quick walk from the pond. Though the public is not allowed to swim in Lower Sardine Lake, there is a spillway and creek where kids can play (the water levels were very safe when I was there). A pleasant spot.
