Great place to fish with fly rods or "gear". Home to Stocked Rainbows and a healthy population of breeding Brown Trout in the 12 to 14 inch range. It's busiest during the warm days of summer (it's at 5300 feet so can be nice and cool when the Valley is HOT and can be quite cool when temps cool down in the State). I fish it with a float tube - (no gas motors are allowed) and find most of the fish I catch in mid-depth water out from shore.

Beautiful lake, very clear water and great fishing, kayaking and paddle board. Quiet and secluded, this is a great place to relax and drown some worms. Staff is very friendly and do a good job at keeping the restrooms clean and functioning. If youre headed to the emerald pools, this is a must see!
