1.3 mile steep walk from parking lit. Luckily you can drive to the lake over dirt road. Fairly generic mountain lake but good for kayaking, swimming, fishing, etc.

Serene lake tucked away. Very peaceful in October because you need to walk on away from the madding crowd. The walk up is like walking on ice cream " Rocky Road".

About Eureka Lake
Nestled in the serene embrace of rugged peaks, Eureka Lake is a hidden gem for those seeking tranquility away from urban hustle. Despite its understated presence among mountain lakes, Eureka Lake offers a rich tapestry of activities that cater to both adventure seekers and peace enthusiasts. Whether you're an avid kayaker slicing through its emerald waters or a solitary angler casting under the mirrored sky, the lake provides a seamless blend of adventure and solitude. An intriguing aspect of Eureka Lake is its accessibility; a 1.3-mile uphill trail offers a more authentic arrival through its natural environs, while a dirt road provides an easier drive directly to its shores. This makes it an appealing spot for both hikers and those who prefer a less strenuous approach. Physically, the journey may challenge you, resembling a "Rocky Road," but the tranquil beauty at the summit rewards your effort. In October, the lake transforms into a sublime haven as the scattering of visitors ensures a peaceful experience, ideal for those who relish the quietude of nature in autumn. The crisp air and reflective waters of Eureka Lake make it a perfect backdrop to enjoy leisurely days of swimming or simply basking in the sounds of nature.
