Great little lake. Rented a house here over a long weekend, right on the water. A lot of people fishing here, you’ll find pickerel, large mouth bass, perch and sunnies. Awesome for teaching kids how to fish, as little sunfish will crush small pieces of bread in the dawn/dusk. Caught around 10 fish here. Lake is around 5-8 feet deep. Some sizable fish in there but you’ll find most are average. We were warned of lots of water moccasin snakes but didn’t see any. This lake is within a gated community and need a pass to get in. Best times for fishing here are early morning and right as the sun sets. If you’re not renting or own a house here it’s virtually impossible to reach as security is very strict. If you were intrigued by the island in the middle like my group was it’s nothing special. Lots of wild life and deer will come right up to you. Man-made lake surrounded by older houses with some in better shape than others. This is lake does not permit motors but allows trolling. Highly recommend for a quiet family get away if the group enjoys fishing. Not great for swimming though.

Beautiful lake to take photos for sure, the sunrise through the trees is stunning. The clear skies at night are just as beautiful. We stayed here for a week for vacation. Lots of non-motor water sports such as kayaking, canoeing or paddle boarding. Not the cleanest lake to say the least. We swam near the dock and noticed the lake marsh coming to the surface. Other than that, don’t expect too much in terms of excitement on the water.

About Dresser Lake
Nestled within a gated community, Dresser Lake offers a peaceful retreat for families and avid anglers. As a man-made lake, it boasts an array of fish species such as pickerel, largemouth bass, perch, and sunfish, making it an ideal destination for teaching children the art of fishing. Visitors often rent lakeside houses to take advantage of the serene environment, where deer roam freely and wildlife abounds. The lake is relatively shallow, with depths between 5 to 8 feet, and prohibits motor use, allowing only trolling and non-motorized water sports like kayaking, canoeing, or paddleboarding. Despite its beauty, Dresser Lake's appeal is somewhat marred by its less-than-ideal swimming conditions, attributed to the lake marsh rising to the surface near the docks. However, its sunrise views are nothing short of spectacular, with the early morning and dusk being prime times for fishing. The gated community ensures a safe and private experience, but this also means access is limited to residents or those who have rented properties in the area. It's a perfect spot for a quiet family getaway or a photogenic escape from bustling city life, where the simple joys of fishing, enjoying nature, and unwinding in the clean dog park take center stage.
