This lake continues to struggle. I don't know how it has pumps but it is still way below normal levels. Like another reviewer said, it's become a breeding ground for bugs - not a place for fishing.

The park itself is nice and well kept. That being said, the main draw is the lake. One problem, there's no water anymore. It used to be absolutely gorgeous! Now it's a breeding ground for mosquitos.

About Catasauqua Lake
Nestled in its charming park setting, Catasauqua Lake once stood as a picturesque and vibrant oasis, attracting visitors with its scenic beauty and tranquil ambiance. Unfortunately, over the years, the lake has faced significant challenges that have transformed it from a serene water haven into a dry basin battling ecological issues. Visitors frequently express disappointment in noticing the dramatic fall in water levels, which have led to the area becoming overrun with mosquitoes. Despite these setbacks, the surrounding park remains well-maintained and provides a pleasant area for a stroll or a picnic, making it still a worthwhile visit for those who enjoy spending time in nature. However, for activities typically associated with lakes such as fishing or boating, Catasauqua Lake is currently not the ideal destination. While its current state may deter nature enthusiasts seeking water-based activities, efforts from the community may someday restore this natural treasure to its former glory, ready to welcome back both nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
