This is a nice place to bring your kids fishing or boating. It is large(ish) and open. I have never seen it (the lake) packed. I have seen the dock packed. My suggestion is if you are going to fish from the dock on a warm, beautiful day you might want to have a backup plan as it is a favorite of many people. If you aren't in need of a handicap space, you can drive your boat down to the water but you MUST go park back up in the regular lot and walk back down. There is a portability if you are desperate. People are pretty good about keepingthe area clean. It is a good place to go fishing for the physically challenged. It is nice and quiet (save the occasional plane overhead). I like to kayak here and read my book without disruptions. This is my second favorite reservoir. If you don't mind walking further I recommend Gamehaven. There seems to be more to see and it feels more like being alone with nature if that is your thing.

Windy!!! It was a nice hike in the winter. It was very open to the southern winds. The trails were not groomed but had been stomped down by others hiking and snow shoeing. it was a nice little hike.

Great place to bring the kids. Plenty of pandish during icefishing. Some crappie as well but nothing huge. Sometimes you cant even get a line in if the kids need help because the bites so good. Spring and summer is great for bass. Caught my pb on a frog last summer. Highly recommend!
