Beautiful lake, clear warm water. Noone around. $15 a night in General camping. All I'm going to say is June 2-4 there were hella baby spiders flying around constantly landing on you. Thank God we had an rv to get a reprieve once in a while. Full moon rose over ridge both nights, breathtaking! Spider season gone by now. Ranger said bees comes next. Probably just meat flies. Beautiful place!

About East Park Reservoir
Nestled in a serene landscape, East Park Reservoir offers a perfect escape for those seeking tranquility and a close encounter with nature. This beautiful lake is renowned for its clear, warm waters which beckon visitors to indulge in a variety of outdoor activities. Whether you are an avid angler looking to cast a line and fish in its abundant waters or prefer the soothing experience of swimming under the sun, East Park Reservoir caters to all. Despite its smaller size, the lake rarely feels crowded, providing a peaceful retreat with plenty of space to explore and unwind. Camping enthusiasts will find the general camping grounds particularly inviting, with affordable rates and the promise of a starry sky unblemished by city lights. Reservations are advisable and can be conveniently made online to secure your spot at this hidden gem. While the natural setting is stunning, it’s wise to be prepared for some of the lake's unexpected guests; past visitors noted a temporary influx of baby spiders, though this fascinating occurrence seems to be a seasonal event. The full moon rising over the ridges is an unforgettable sight, making evenings at East Park Reservoir as enchanting as its sunlit days. It's important to note that while the water levels can be low, the area is well-tended and clean, making your visit a pleasant one. However, the absence of substantial shade suggests bringing your own, especially during sunnier months. Whether you're drawn by the prospect of solitude or the appeal of serene lake views, East Park Reservoir promises a remarkable retreat into nature's embrace.
