Delightful little lake in the middle of Foothill Preserve, fun for recreational boating with kidd. There are two sets of docks for launching kayaks (or any non-powered boats or rafts), with car parking right next to the docks. There's a small island at the south end which one can paddle around.
About Boronda Lake
Nestled within the scenic landscape of Palo Alto's Foothill Park lies the charming Boronda Lake—a delightful oasis perfect for those seeking tranquility and a dash of adventure. This lake is well-suited for a leisurely day trip, offering a variety of recreational activities for families and friends alike. Although not open to public access courtesy of park's residency restriction, those fortunate enough to visit can enjoy a picnic, take a peaceful walk around the area, and engage in some non-motorized, water-based activities. Boronda Lake is quite the gem for boating enthusiasts. The lake is equipped with two sets of docks predominantly used for launching kayaks, canoes, and inflatable boats.
