Great place to swim with no ropes to stop you from going as far as you want. You can also walk around the water to find more access points besides the main area. Lots of water! Dogs love it too but only on weekdays otherwise too many people, or we walk around the path to go somewhere quieter.

A wonderful place for family or alone time. Peaceful, fireplace, gorgeous sunset, fishing, boating, family had a lot of fun.

Swimming area very crowded but once you get further out plenty of room to find your own little picnic spot to swim and relax. Very steep drive to get there so make sure ur boat(s) is well secured. Fun place to spend the afternoon in the water. They have picnic benches and a playground. No lifeguard though.
About Yorty Creek
Nestled in the picturesque California landscape, Yorty Creek offers a mixed experience for visitors. Known for its scenic beauty and potential for recreational activities like swimming, fishing, and boating, the lake area provides a wonderful place for families and solitude seekers alike to enjoy nature. On weekdays, when crowds are thinner, even dogs can find enjoyment here with their owners. However, take note of the current drought, which has significantly reduced water levels. On particularly hot days, this can be disappointing to those planning to swim or boat. For those who love hiking, walking around the reduced perimeter might still yield lovely and secluded spots for a picnic. Unfortunately, maintenance issues have been flagged by visitors, suggesting a need for better oversight by authorities to preserve this natural gem. Despite its challenges, Yorty Creek remains a charming spot to relax, unwind, and appreciate breathtaking sunsets over the diminishing waters.
