Love this camp ground. Clean restrooms, beautiful atmosphere affordable cabins if you don’t want to camp. The views from the cabin are amazing. I love it here and will be back again this month.

Lyman Lake State Park is one of Arizona's hidden park gems. Huge lake that has enough room for boats, kayaks, jet skis, fishing and swimming. Add in the camping sites and life is great. Just wish the state would get the drinking water issues fixed already! It's been over a year now that the water is not drinkable. Usable for showers and washing, but can't drink. Staff is super friendly and helpful both at the camp store and those that work around the park cleaning up sites. Highly recommend a stay here.

Rented a cabin here for the weekend and had a great time. The staff that runs the store and camping areas are excellent and very helpful. The town of St Johns is just down the road for basic supplies if needed or Show Low is 30 mins away.
About Lyman Reservoir
Nestled in the picturesque landscapes of northeastern Arizona, Lyman Lake State Park is indeed a hidden gem that offers a tranquil escape with a multitude of activities to keep every visitor entertained. The sprawling Lyman Reservoir is large enough to accommodate a range of water activities, from boating to kayaking, and even jet skiing. Anglers will find plenty to enjoy with the ample fishing opportunities, while the natural surroundings provide an ideal backdrop for swimming or simply relaxing along the water's edge. Accommodations at Lyman Lake State Park include both campsites and charming cabins, offering beautiful views of the reservoir and surrounding landscape. Although the cabins may show signs of age, guests appreciate their upkeep and find them comfortable for short stays. Notably, the four lakefront cabins are a favored choice, providing unparalleled access to the park's stunning scenery. The park staff contribute to the welcoming atmosphere, known for their friendliness and helpfulness, whether assisting visitors in the camp store or maintaining the cleanliness of the grounds. While there have been longstanding issues with non-drinkable water—a point that needs addressing for the safety of all visitors—the overall experience at Lyman Lake remains positive, with many guests returning multiple times. For hikers, the park offers fascinating trails with historical petroglyphs, adding an element of cultural exploration to your visit. Although cell service can be spotty, the beautiful surroundings more than make up for this minor inconvenience, providing a true retreat into nature. Nearby towns like St. Johns provide the necessities if you need to restock on supplies, and popular destinations like Show Low are within a short drive. As the water levels fluctuate, visitors hope to see the picturesque reservoir filled to its prime once again, enhancing the natural beauty of the lake.
