Cool little spot Nothing crazy or big, no where too deep. Limits lure use a bit, but always fun trying out top water! If you can make it out there, it's a decent spot!

Google Maps directions are wrong ! Will take you to two dead ends . Actual path to lake should take you to SouthEast Corner of lake , if it looks like GPS is taking you South or North of Lake you are going the wrong way. Boaters are not considerate at all of campers and run diesel generators all night and harass campers for no reason during the day if you not up at 4 am putting a boat in the water , they will make sure are up yelling and screaming at campers and filling up tents with truck exhaust.. To be fair next day was better after all the boaters left. Place would be a lot better of there was a separate campsite for tents away from boats and RVs and generators.

It's really nice across the lake this time if year, someone mentioned they just caught a foot long blue gill last week. Can't walk in areas in water with high foot traffic I've experienced small leeches.
About Arivaca Lake
Nestled in the scenic heart of southern Arizona, Arivaca Lake is a hidden gem amid the vast Sonoran desert. This quaint lake may not offer the sprawling expanses or depths of other aquatic destinations, yet its charm lies in its tranquil surroundings and the allure of its natural beauty. Navigation to Arivaca Lake can be tricky, with many visitors experiencing challenges due to misleading GPS directions and the hotel's dirt road access. However, the perseverance pays off as the serene views and rustic camping setting promise a rewarding retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Arivaca Lake caters to outdoor enthusiasts who revel in activities like fishing and camping. Though there have been noted inconveniences such as inconsiderate boaters and the rough sporadic layout of campsites, these disruptions do little to mar the experience of being surrounded by nature's splendor. Anglers particularly find joy in the catch, with reports of sizable bluegills being a common occurrence. For a unique twist, the leech inhabitants in bustling water areas add an unexpected, though manageable, adventure factor. Visitors are advised to plan their trips carefully, especially avoiding ventures in rainy conditions due to the difficult dirt road passage. Though facilities are limited to only pit toilets and a boat ramp, the primitive camping experience is immersive, and the expectation to pack out all items adds to the responsibility-driven enjoyment of preserving this beautiful site. Despite a few challenges, the peaceful ambiance and picturesque vistas make Arivaca Lake a worthy destination for those seeking an off-the-beaten-path adventure.
