Cool little spot Nothing crazy or big, no where too deep. Limits lure use a bit, but always fun trying out top water! If you can make it out there, it's a decent spot!

Google Maps directions are wrong ! Will take you to two dead ends . Actual path to lake should take you to SouthEast Corner of lake , if it looks like GPS is taking you South or North of Lake you are going the wrong way. Boaters are not considerate at all of campers and run diesel generators all night and harass campers for no reason during the day if you not up at 4 am putting a boat in the water , they will make sure are up yelling and screaming at campers and filling up tents with truck exhaust.. To be fair next day was better after all the boaters left. Place would be a lot better of there was a separate campsite for tents away from boats and RVs and generators.

It's really nice across the lake this time if year, someone mentioned they just caught a foot long blue gill last week. Can't walk in areas in water with high foot traffic I've experienced small leeches.

This is a very nice lake. The drive in was awesome until you get to the dirt road turnoff to go to the lake. It’s super dusty when it’s dry and looked like it gets pretty sketchy after it’s rained a little bit. Other than that I can’t wait to get beach down there. There was a handful of people camping too. Not sure how many campsites there are or if it’s just more like dispersed camping.

You don’t just “stumble onto” Arivaca Lake. There is about a 5-6 mile drive on pavement on the very winding Ruby Road, then another two miles on rough bumpy dirt. Don’t even think about this if it has recently rained. The lake is very pretty and offers primitive camping for free. You must pack everything out as there is no trash pickup. There are two pit toilets and a boat ramp with dock. It seems somewhat strange to see a lake like this in the Sonoran desert.
