Hiked the Hale Lake Loop trail and found it in good repair, but it offered only a few glimpses of the lake. The trail is set back from the lake and there is heavy tree coverage between the trail and the lake. The picnic area is large and shaded and there is a paved path leading to a great fishing pier that offers an opportunity for family fun.
