A beautiful place that used to be teeming with life seems to be slowly dying. I've heard there's a local industrial plant of some sort that's polluting the water. I wonder if this is why Hinckston is no longer the fishing spot it once was a decade and more ago

Great lil reservoir. Take a paddle across or do a lil fishing. There is a trail and a small waterfall.
About Hinckston Run Reservoir
Tucked away in the tranquil areas of Pennsylvania lies the Hinckston Run Reservoir—a serene body of water that, despite facing certain ecological challenges, continues to charm visitors looking for a peaceful retreat into nature. Known for its peacefulness, the reservoir is a delightful spot for kayaking and fishing enthusiasts looking to spend some quiet time on the water. The area is also laced with trails for those who enjoy scenic walks, and the sound of a small waterfall adds an extra layer of tranquility, perfectly complementing the experience of being surrounded by nature. While some visitors reminisce about the lake's more vibrant days when fishing was more bountiful, the reservoir still holds a certain allure, attracting those who appreciate quietude over throngs of people. However, there are growing concerns over the quality of water due to industrial influence, leading some to question its long-term ecological health. The infrastructure around the lake might be in desperate need of attention, particularly the roads and fishing spots on the dam's far side, but its peaceful charm remains intact. A day here offers a calming escape from the hustle and bustle, punctuated by gentle paddling and the serene beauty of a quiet, natural setting. Whether you're casting a line, navigating your kayak, or simply unwinding by the water's edge, Hinckston Run Reservoir offers a slice of nature's simplicity, if not its former abundance.
