I was that women and I AM NOT CORPULENT OR FAT. The security guard was on for his 1st day. Insults will not excuse your trespassing. There are signs all over the community from when you 1st enter Camelot to numerous signs on the beach. You chose not to see them. Don't blame the security guard. It's a beautiful area BUT IT IS PRIVATE

Great place. Google search said it was a public beach when we did an online search yesterday for public lake beaches in the Poconos. Beautiful place. We were there all afternoon yesterday and a good part of the late afternoon and early evening today. Security guard with a yellow tee-shirt was in the parking lot..hired by the local community I guess to watch over the place. He never said anything to us when we entered both days as he was only interested in his phone, but late in the day, a rather corpulent middle aged woman approached us where we were sitting without any identification told us that the beach was only for residents and renters only. We did not know that as the sign indicating that which we saw after our second day at this lake is blocked and covered up for the most part by a pine tree. Beautiful beach and lake , but it is not public. I think the community is wasting its money on the security guard because he never said anything to us both days that the beach is private. Better signage, especially on the beach its self would be helpful in the future. It's a shame that the Poconos has so few public acres beaches.

Nice lake and area. Unfortunately, the locals are extremely unwelcoming to visitors, even those of us who are here with passes and permission. For the visitors here who are being respectful of this community and just trying to enjoy the space, it is quite a shame to be treated in such a way. For this reason, I don’t recommend visiting this community.
