I own the islands on Holy Name Lake. The Lake at max depth is 7.0ft. No motor boats aloud in the lake because the weeds will tangle in your motor. The lake is mostly clear. Fishing is okay the fish in the lake is Black Bullhead Black Crappie Bluegill Brook Stickleback Brown Bullhead Fathead Minnow Green Sunfish Hybrid Sunfish Largemouth Bass Northern Pike White Crappie

About Holy Name Lake
Nestled in the peaceful embrace of nature, Holy Name Lake offers a unique escape for those seeking tranquility rather than the hustle and bustle of motorboats and speed-kayaking. Renowned for its shallow waters with a maximum depth of 7 feet, this lake is a sanctuary where nature reigns supreme. Holy Name Lake is surrounded by lush landscapes and dotted with privately owned islands, providing a picturesque backdrop for outdoor adventures and reflection. Because motorboats are not permitted, the lake remains mostly clear, creating an ideal environment for those who enjoy paddling quietly on a canoe or kayak, feeling in tune with the water's gentle rhythm. The rich aquatic vegetation, while a challenge for motors, contributes to the lake's healthy ecosystem, making it an intriguing spot for anglers. The fishing at Holy Name Lake offers a modest selection of species, perfect for patient fishing enthusiasts. You might find yourself catching black bullhead, bluegill, or northern pike amid the lake's abundant plant life. Although fishing conditions can be hit or miss, the peaceful setting compensates with rewards of serenity and connection to nature. Perhaps one of the lake’s most charming features is the lack of noise pollution, allowing visitors to soak in the natural sounds of wildlife and the rustle of leaves across the islands. While it might not offer the exhilarating rush of a fishing haul or speed boat runs, Holy Name Lake's serene beauty and gentle pace cater to those seeking a peaceful outdoor retreat. Whether canoeing in its clear waters or picnicking by its shores, visitors are promised an intimate encounter with the calmer side of lake life.
