Our favorite spot in the midwest (central/northern Minnesota). This lake chain has it all, areas to party to quiet bays to huge open water. Great fishing and boat up restaurants. A diverse chain of 13 lakes (14,272 acres) spanning the cities of Crosslake, Pequot Lakes, Jenkins, and Pine River.

Gull, Pelican, and Whitefish are the three greats of Brainerd area Lakes. Explore all the connected lakes on the Whitefish Chain; it’s a magnificent boating day.

To be honest this is not a special lake. It’s average at best. I would recommend Lake Superior over the Whitefish Lakes.
