The campground is reserved for groups only but a trail gets you to the old boat ramp. However any large vessel won't really work. Gotta have a small jon boat.

I'm a local, And I'm asking (begging) EVERYONE that visits the "Forest" to PLEASE TAKE YOUR GARBAGE WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE !!!. It's pretty SAD that we locals have to take the time to go "CLEAN UP AFTER EVERY WEEKEND " From people that JUST DOESN'T CARE ABOUT OUR FORESTS !!.
About Doe Lake
Nestled within a serene woodland, Doe Lake is a hidden gem cherished by both locals and visitors alike. This charming lake is surrounded by a lush forest that offers an idyllic setting for weddings, camping, and a variety of outdoor activities. Although the lake itself faces certain limitations when it comes to boating—accommodating only small vessels like jon boats—it makes up for it with its tranquil atmosphere and picturesque views. A favorite spot for group camping, Doe Lake's facilities are perfect for large gatherings, making it an ideal destination for events like weddings, as one happy couple recently discovered. While the summers can be quite warm, visiting during the cooler months offers a more comfortable experience amidst the natural beauty of Doe Lake. Activities such as swimming, boating, and fishing are popular here. With the welcoming community and excellent food available during girls' camps, visitors can't help but return for more. However, one plea from the locals who cherish this heavenly location is to ensure that visitors leave no trace and take their garbage with them to preserve the lake's pristine condition.
