My family and I decided to stay the weekend here for the first time. We stayed at site 34, which backs up to the lake. The site is very open with a few different options for setting up your tents. Restroom/Showers are very close (within 1 minute of walking) and were very clean. There is a nice hiking trail towards the entrance of the park which was very well maintained and plenty of wildlife to see (tons of deer!) The staff was super friendly and happy to assist with any questions. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because the cost to stay was a bit high (about $30 a night), traffic noise (especially at night) was very loud due to how close you are to a high traffic road and the ticks were HORRIBLE! Once we got our site set up and sat down to relaxe we noticed them on our feet. We decided to spray ourselves down to help prevent getting covered. Total, we found 2 dozen ticks between my wife, daughter and I. We understand you can't control mother nature and will run into this and that's all this is, just to inform you before booking the site.

Looks to be a great place to camp. Small, shallow body of water but very isolated and beautiful.

Nice little lake and campground. Fishing and canoe rentals are also available.
About Lake Clearwater
**Discover Tranquility at Lake Clearwater: An Idyllic Camping Getaway** Nestled away from the bustle of city life is Lake Clearwater, an idyllic escape for families and nature lovers. While the campsite might present some challenges, such as the occasional tick or the proximity to traffic noises, its offerings in beauty and tranquility are unparalleled. During our stay at one of its lakeside sites, we were nothing short of captivated by its scenic surroundings. The campsites are designed to enhance your outdoor experience, with ample room to pitch tents and just steps away from modern, clean restroom facilities. Although the price for camping might seem steep at first—around $30 per night—the pristine setting makes it worthwhile to those seeking a refreshing retreat. One of the highlights of Lake Clearwater is its well-maintained hiking trail, perfect for a leisurely exploration where you can spot local wildlife including a delightful array of deer. For water enthusiasts, the lake offers ample opportunities for fishing and boating with rentals available to make the most out of your stay. However, what truly makes this place special is its isolated yet captivating charm, offering a peaceful haven to unwind and disconnect. Its waters are perfect for an invigorating swim, even though they aren't spring-fed, adding a refreshing touch to the day. Whether you're planning a weekend with family or a solo escape, Lake Clearwater promises moments of serenity paired with the enchanting call of nature. Just remember to prepare adequately for the ticks, and you'll find this peaceful retreat to be a rewarding wilderness experience.
