Stayed at Squaw Lake which we have done several years now. We really like the Lake and river for fishing. The camping is adequate for what you pay. It's dry camping. What needs work is the camp hosts. They are very grumpy and not very welcoming to the newbie. In my day camp hosts were happy to be welcoming new people to their private heaven. Most people camping here in the winter are snowbirds and for the most part will not try rip you off so knocking on their RV doors at 7 asking for the permit is unnecessary.

We go here quite.often with our friends for the day or to camp. The only down side is the bathrooms are closed during the summer months. So we have to have someone with a camper with us!! Love it here. You can hear the coyotes howling at night it's really neat to hear.

It's a nice campground with water to cool off while experiencing 110° plus temperatures. The heat here isn't for sissy's that have a weak heart. Love all of the donkeys that freely roam throughout the campground.

I have two words that best help to describe what I felt when I arrived at this place: complete serenity. Not only was the location gorgeous, but it was a very clean and welcoming little camp site. When I arrived with my significant other we were greeted by a very friendly older woman. She was quick to start a conversation with us and we soon learned that she and her husband actually take care of the site, and they also stay/live there as well ! She was extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding areas, and we were treated to tales of her time at the location and of her travels around the United States. Although you do generally have to pay money to park there for the day, she was very kind to me and my boyfriend and allowed us to take a few photos and go down to the water for about half and hour for free. I cannot wait to go back and enjoy a few days out there on that beautiful water ! Definitely a spot that if you can go... go! I urge you!
