There used to be a pond here. It is no longer here. It was drained to make way for the new houses that now sit where the pond once was. It was one of the very last of the very few year around vernal ponds in SoCal. They used to be everywhere around Simi/Moorpark/Thousand Oaks and the San Fernando Valley.. but no more. there's a couple by Moorpark college most people don't know about. But for the most part they're gone and that was the last big one That was the last big year around one... To progress I say
