I visited this lake for fishing. I have to give you heads up to be prepared to park and walk some distance with your gear before you settle somewhere desirable. It would be a good idea to take some chairs to sit on and maybe a little pull-wagon to carry your stuff. Although we didn’t have much luck, but there were other people who did well. There is a small shop selling baits and some essentials and they are very friendly and informative. As of the day I’m writing the review, the parking is $5 for all day. The lake is open for fishing only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Best lake to go fishing at, the prices and regulations are unbeatable, great place for fishing with friends or a family trip. Staff is helpful, friendly, and present great vibes. The parking is $5 for the day and that on its own is a HUGE win already.

Not bad for the fishing enthusiast who doesn't mind a good hike for some shore fishing. If you have small kids bring the wagon to cart them in walk is too much for small legs. Lake has receded significantly but there's still bass in there if you find the right spot and you're patient enough. $5 parking and no license requirements.
