The trout here are super high quality, big, and put up a fight compared to Apollo park making the membership worth it. The lake is really quiet and is a great way to escape the noose of the AV. I don't always catch fish but the quiet time alone is worth it

It’s a shame that there’s a high cost for simple recreational activities. I’ve lived in California my whole life and this is the only lake I’m familiar with that needs a membership. What’s worse is any other lake is a 45 minute drive. I agree cost are needed to maintain but maybe charge per visit like most state parks. Lived here 10 years and haven’t had the pleasure of going.

Fin and Feather is a beautiful lake and great fishing, even if you don't catch anything that day but a sunburn. Lol. They have a helpful staff and keep the lake up very well. I always enjoy the quite, peacefulness, that the experience gives you. Thanks Fin and Feather for the wonderful memories, and many more to come. I'm a happy member and will continue to be as long as they will accept me. If you don't have a membership I suggest you get one or go with someone who has a membership, so you can try the experience for yourself. Happy fishing.
