This place left a mixed impression on me. The road from Sacramento is long, but high-quality. On the last 5 miles it is a narrow one-lane, but paved road. In the rainy season, you should be especially careful here. The reservoir itself looks artificial, and it is. But the whole appearance of this lake does not look natural. There are no geese swimming here, no seagulls swarming. Of the birds, only crows fly there. There are no algae in the water. The banks are outlined by even stripes, I still do not understand whether the water left these traces, or special equipment. In any case, it looks strange and a little alien. Perhaps after the summer season, there was some reconstruction of the banks. Because otherwise the place is very civilized: parking for RVs, a dock for boats, restrooms, tables with benches and taps with water for feet and a concrete sink. I was especially struck by the color of the lake, the water, transparent clean water and convenient access to the beach. The water is very calm, there is almost no current. Ideal for canoes and stand-boards. Further from the campsite, the coast becomes snow-white sandy. The views of the lake are more natural. But the road to the northern part of the lake is narrow and unpaved, and the descent to the water is steep and littered with branches.

Not sure where Brody was. Doesn’t sound at all like Sly Creek.
