Did the Cliff Lakes and Terrace Lake trail from AllTrails on a Thursday morning late in August. There's a spacious parking lot as soon as you turn in from the main road. I did see a bunch of vehicles later on too, but it gets very rocky at Cedar Lake. Very tough to stick to the trail once it went steep. Not maintained at all. The point where it turned from wide and flat to steep and narrow, some guys had parked their pickup truck, so I first didn't see the trail at all and went the complete wrong way and gained a lot of unnecessary distance and elevation. This is supposed to be a 3.8 mile, 675 ft hike. I ended up 5 miles and 1000 ft.

We absolutely love this lake. You have to have a 4WD to drive to it but most people walk it from the road or from Cedar Lake. In the winter time the lake freezes and it’s a great time to ice skate or walk on this beauty. Cliff Lakes South end has spectacular granite walls you can just stare at for a while. Hope you enjoy!

Great Place to Visit with the Family, they were able to get in the Lake and have fun. Hubby tried some fishing but to no avail, the road is very bumpy while heading up there so make sure you have a 4x4.
