We suddenly made the plan to visit crystal lake, started around 1 PM and reached within an hour, there was no rush because it was Sunday, general people go there for an overnight stay, we all were having a great time, nice place to do the BBQ and camp fire. It's good to have some change as $5 required for day parking.

The lake is full as of 4/30/24. The fish are skiddish and hard to catch, and there is a significant algae bloom that adds to the difficulty. But the place is beautiful and not too crowded on weekdays. Don’t know about the weekend but the parking is limited so I’m sure it gets busy.

People blasting Mexican music everywhere . Couldn’t get any silence with that always going. Very underwhelming
