If you don’t wear a life jacket someone gonna call the forest police on ya, so if you go paddle boarding or kayaking bring one. Minimal area to camp but it’s usually mellow there. Saw cranes and other cool birds. Overall beautiful view and nice spot.

Quiet. Very few camping spots on lake and they are small. I got lucky. I'm in a minivan and although the ride in was rough and long, I made it going slowly. It is worth the ride in. All kinds of birds and ducks that make the most beautiful sounds. Very large bees and flys. Shady with drops of sun among the large pines and birch trees.

Came with the a large youth group. Really great spot for large groups. Recommend securing permit if you want the experience to be private. Bring some extra blankets even at the end of May/early June (in the 30s at night).

Went camping with the family this last week. Spent three wonderful nights at the edge of the lake. This is a very small Lake almost classified as a reservoir. It is a lure and fly fishing lake only. I do not believe motorized vessels are allowed. Very very quiet and peaceful. Within view of greens Peak. Surprisingly we had 4G Wi-Fi. Different Wildlife every day including deer antelope bald eagle trout and numerous small game. Heard coyotes but never saw them. No facilities so go self-contained. Easily accessible to two wheel drive vehicles with clearance. Recommend good high clearance if you wish to access the back side of the lake. Many small dirt Forest roads to explore in the area. Great for UTV's or ATVs. The whole area is a combination of high Pines and grassy Plains. We will certainly be going back.

Visited recently and water level was lowest I’ve ever seen in last ten years and boat launching was a real challenge
