Reviews of Lake Pershing lake

Roads are very muddy and washed out, almost got stuck in four-wheel-drive. This lake is on Fort Hood / Ft Cavasos recreation area, so you need a special fishing permit.

Nasty, there is litter and gunt, the water is so dirty due to trash and gunt the water foams brown and gray. I would not recommend this place.

Good fishing spot just hard to get to. Also please keep your eyes open there are alot of snakes i spent about 30minutes in a certain part of the lake and i must have seen at 30 snakes some came as close as 5ft away. Please be careful especially with children

I like to run here. Nice spot.

Great fishing caught tons of crappie and bass. Just did catch and release since small pond but game warden ran us off stating it’s government fishing area only and I left my I’d at home but it was nice there
