A typical reservoir. No water running over the dam. You can hike around it. No bikes or strollers. The water is beautiful and clear. Tons of fishing however no fishing allowed or swimming even though we seen some swimmers.

Starting at Gold Mine Road, I hiked to the Lebanon Reservoir along the Stony Creek Rail Trail. The reservoir is completely beautiful, so I am giving it 5 stars, although I was a bit disappointed. I wanted to go about a mile further along the trail, but I was greeted by a gate across the trail with no trespassing signs.

One of my favorite places to hike and relax and take in the scenery!

Great hike if entering in from old forge road. The hill can be strenuous for some people, but it's totally worth it. This place is a whole lot of nature. I've seen deer, muskrat, snakes, eagles and even bear here. I've spent many days hiking around an exploring the place. It's abundant in coal and during dryer seasons when the waters dropped you can find plenty of slag glass on the Gold Mine Road side of the reservoir. Hike on up, cross the wire bridge and hang a hammock on the Stony beach.
