Beautiful place to take pictures and enjoy the lake

Not only did I have a great time but my dog had an amazing time swimming in the water. Fun place for picnicking and hiking.

One of my favorite places to go for a short hike around the lake.

Fishing is mediocre at best although I've caught my biggest bass there.... mostly small fish and good family fun

If there were a price for least aptly named lake, Mud Pond would win in hands down. It's actually a very clear mountain lake with a small sandy beach. The first 20 or so feet in are very shallow--perfect for kids! There are benches, many of them in the shade, a playground, basic but functional changing rooms and toilets. There is an area with benches and stationary grills next to the beach.
