My husband wanted to go fishing. He thought Struble Lake was in Chester County. This place was crowded. He hates fishing when it's crowded. We ended up finding another place to fish.

It's a nice lake if you want to catch TICKS ....we walked through the field an found about 11 to 12 regular an deer ticks on all of us...our dogs had so many on the underside of there belly...it was known for crappie fishing is the reason we went to try out the lake...caught nothing but ticks in the end. I'd recommend a flat bottom boat or kayak so you can play with the water snakes an huge snapping turtle we saw in the lake. Remember people...practice...safety first...then...fun next . Game commissioners in that area need to practice attitude adjustment an be retrained on how to communicate with sportsman. I give this lake 2 stars for the ticks we encountered an the huge snapping turtle we saw the head was the size of a soft ball . Have fun wading along the edge !

Quiet, never crowded. Shallow in spots from boat ramp with submerged stumps. Great Crappie fishing. We see fish and game officers there all the the time but always friendly and answer any questions you have
