Reviews of Lake Shenango river reservoir

My fiance has been here a lot & convinced me to go camping for the nite. We fished & camped. It was very peaceful & quite. My only complaint is how ignorant people are, how hard is it to pick up your trash? Pop cans, fishing line, empty chip bags & most of all cigarette butts every where. I am a smoker myself & I always make sure I dispose of my trash the correct way & not in the Shenango River.

Abundance of wildlife. Great place to walk and see all kinds of deer, eagles, osprey, geese, etc.

Just as it says. A man made resivoir. From the thirties I think to help stop floods in little towns like Sharpsville. There is a nice picnic/boat launch area near the dam wall with a lot of parking. Run and owned by the army Corp of engineers (maybe, needs research). It is young as lakes go but does have some o recreational fishing. Used to be unlimited horse power on boats as well. You should check on current regulations for your own good. Posted on signs at the park and a ailable on line I believe. That's all folks. Oh, the low rating? Limited access points. For fishing where you could drive in. Very few in my opinion in relation to the size of the lake.

This is a nice reservoir. Unlimited horse power for boats. Dont drink alchohol on the water. The fish police here have nothing to do at all. They will watch you with binoculars from across the lake. They will also check to see if your kayak has a whistle. The shore line is covered in trash so please bring a bag if your coming to visit, and take a little more trash away with you.
