Reviews of Lake Lake owasso

I grew up by the lake and I never had any complaints about it. My grandpa used to check the water and he always said it's clean. It looks dark tho so don't think it's Hawaii or something. It's a big lake with some deep spots and also very shallow spots. One pretty long beach and some really expensive houses around it. When you take a boat and cruise around it you have a pretty cool view.

**WARNING This location on Google maps will bring you to neighborhood with a dead end! Two other people in my party did the same thing, when trying to get to the beach of this lake. You must type in "boat launch" to get correct directions! It was 7 mins detour back tracking. So that was frustrating, Im trying to figure out how to update on Google maps. Once you get to the right location.. The beach was nice, public bathroom, water fountain and the parking lot was close to the beach. There was a playground across the road for kids which looked pretty new. I believe there were benches and sidewalk along the beach. Seen a lot of people fishing and boating.

Great Lake wonderful and beautiful, went here as a kid, from the time it opened until my mom went to work. Stayed here most of the summer. Used to be a concession stand, hot dog hamburger, chips, soda, ice cream. Miss that. Now wanting to take my children and grand children there also. Sad there are no trees by the beach any more. My dad made me sit in the shade under the trees with him. My dad would water ski there. Good times and memories.

Playground is in shambles and the wood sections are unsafe for anyone.

What a shame, the “improvements” to the park particularly the beach area are a huge disappointment. An area that used to be filled with trees and grass have been replaced by ugly concrete. They took away enjoyment of spending the day and relaxing, swimming and grilling. This is most definitely not an improvement to the community
