Beautiful lake! This lake is a Sports Fishing Conservation area, if I’m not mistaken. I have been out here quite a few times and have caught a few bass. Nothing big yet but I have seen some very large bass in the lake. I also think it’s spring fed, because they water is crystal clear throughout most of the lake. It’s a fairly shallow lake too. The biggest issue with this lake is the lake vegetation. During the summer months the vegetation grows uncontrollably. It’s very difficult to kayak and fish on the lake due to the vegetation growing so rapidly. Even in a boat, you run the risk out getting tangled up in the enormous amount of vegetation. Be mindful of that! Oh yeah, and there are some large gators here too.

I love Carr Lake. It is delightfully wild. I used to fish for schooling bass there many years ago with my husband when I was young. Now, I take my little Chihuahua down there with me to the landing and we pick up water plants for my two natural aquariums. It's a lovely landing. Nice little fishing dock. Great little place to take children to teach them how to fish! There's nice shady picnicking area as well. The county keeps it up really nice.

A very nice small lake, lots of bass action, nothing real big but lots of fun , be sure u have weedless baits as there is lots of vegetation. U don't need a big boat a row boat would work. We used a bass boat but never started big motor. I here from locals there are some big bass living here and by looks and 2lb fish action I think any cast could be a giant

Nice boat ramp and a fair bit of parking for what seems to be a lesser used boat ramp. There is a short dock and a picnic pavilion with tables. There are garbage and recycling facilities. No toilets, grills or running water. There was a lot of vegitation in the water in September, it may be easier for paddling in cooler weather.

For the 10 mile drive out here going 35 and 45 mph you get here and it’s closed with no trespassing signs. Not happy!
