What a great place to bring lunch and have a family picnic! We went in January so it was nice outside but I imagine it can be pretty hot here in the summer. There are a few covered picnic tables and a pavilion available and plenty of trees to provide shade. My wife and I brought lunch to eat, then pushed our daughter in her stroller around the walking path. I don't know for sure, but it felt pretty close to a mile. This is definitely a place to consider if you're looking for a nice, free place to bring your family. A playground is available and a few folks were fishing in the pond.

The lake is kept clean and well landscaped. It's good for a picnic or an outdoor birthday party. There's a covered concrete patio with several tables and grills for anyone to use. There is a walking trail around the lake and through an adjacent field with a few exercise stations. In March 2023 they installed a new dock to fish and to sit and watch the resident ducks and turtles. There's several fast food places a few blocks away on 441, so I often find myself getting food and sitting on a bench at this lake to eat and enjoy the view.
