Reviews of Lake Freshwater lagoon

This is a very scenic little lagoon along the highway. I just stopped by for a few minutes of fishing and there are trout that willing to bite. I enjoyed my time there and plan on coming back again someday maybe for a picnic and some more fishing fun. It may be better for you in a kayak or small boat as shoreline access is somewhat limited. There was plenty of parking though.

Love this lagoon, spend a lot of my time here on my kayak fishing. It is adjacent to the ocean which provides a cool atmosphere. Sometimes the highway traffic noise can take away from the sounds of nature but overall it isn’t to bad. At times you can also see river otters playing or hunting around. Occasionally there will be trash left behind on the bank by people which is a bummer but nothing a few helping hands can’t handle in cleaning up.

Fun place to fish for bass and I think they still stock it with trout!

Loved the views motoring along 101. There were times when the highway seemed level with the ocean. Pristine beaches and folks strolling in ocean air makes me want to be a Californian, almost.

Beautiful area parking's a little tight. Great place to take the family.
