Reviews of Lake Legg lake

I can't believe I've never done a review of this park known as Legg Lake, I've been coming here since I was a child.. I'm 60 yrs old and I still come here.. they now have a bike lane on Rosemead Blvd which is nearby the San Gabriel River bike trail and the Rio Hondo lower bike trail which is perfect for me considering I'm a cyclist.. great place for a rest stop ,, many people come here to engage in some type of cardio like jogging, walking even biking throughout this huge park with several lakes that many come out here to fish , great place for family and friend gatherings for a picnic, barbecue or birthday parties .. plenty of bathrooms throughout the lakes as well as parking.. you can walk your dogs here but must be on a leash , I recommend to keep a close eye on the little ones because if the geese see a child with a sandwich 🥪 it might get it 😂 , I know because it happened to me as a child, so traumatic 🤣 if your a child.. overall great place to hang out with friends, even good to bring a date for a long walk and get to know one another..

Approximately 2.5 mile loop around the lake in South El Monte. It is great for relaxing alone or with a family while looking at the huge and quiet lake. Wonderful for birding, enjoying the shade of the trees, hiking and biking. Dogs are welcome. I love this place. ❤

Tranquil, and serene. A very good place to walk or run. Flat, no hills. Shade everywhere. No swimming in the lake. If you enjoy concrete sculpture, there are about 7 of them throughout the park. Remember it is a flood basin, so it smells of stagnant water.

It’s a beautiful, HUGE park that has a 3 mile loop around the lake. Also, has lots of picnic tables, benches to enjoy the lake & nature,m & exercise equipment throughout the park. Lots of trees & shaded areas to just relax.

Beautiful and very huge park. I usually go here just to walk around. My pups really like coming here too. I see people fishing here and racing their RC Boats (my apologies if they are called something else, i don't know what they are called). Note, you do have to pay for parking.
