Reviews of Lake South lake

Great place. Keep your eyes open though. Rattlesnakes on the trails, Bobcats are in the brush and coyotes sneak up behind you. Don’t leave anything visible in your car, a lot of windows get smashed here. Please… if people are fishing, don’t stand next to them and throw rocks in the water. Skip rocks all day long, just please distance yourself and understand that doing so is ruining our visit.

A fantastic trail around the lake with a variety of views and elevations. A great spot to bring the kids or leaahed dogs for a pleasant walk and some nature. The trail is around a mile long loop with a decent sized parking lot a the trailhead. This recently opened up to the public and connects with the Discovery Lake trail system.

It looks nice but its closed! There is a parking lot next to it and trails that used to lead into it, but it's fully fenced with barbed wire now and said there is cctv watching you. So no hike around the lake here!

Only walked down the path to the main entrance. Saw a very wide nice trail with a family and their dog enjoying the beauty. we will return to hike it as I am curious as to how big the lake is. The Ranger said it has a lot of wild life. Really looks like a great place for a family hike.

It was such a nice and peaceful place to walk. It's just circles around but a good way to get your steps in. You can fish here as well. Nice local place to walk.
