Did you know this lake was created specifically for model sailboats? The model yatch club is just off the stress and welcomes visitors to come and look at its boats. The club is one of only two in the US.

If you can get over how nasty this lake really is, this is actually a really cute spot. It’s easily accessible by all. You can see wildlife including turtles, carps, canada geese, and ducks. You also get your usual pigeons and seagulls. There’s a model yacht club next door so expect to see rc boat enthusiasts! We saw a few during our walk today. The bison paddock is nearby as well.

One of the most beautiful spots in Golden Gate Park, a veritable Oasis in the City. Walk around the lake, enjoy the wildlife, sit on a bench and relax. Just off Fulton by 36th Ave entrance to the park.

A beautiful lake full of birds: ducks, coots, and seagulls in the daytime and lots of Canadian geese in the evening, closer to the twilight. You may find mini-regattas on the lake during week-ends.
