Enjoyable hike and beautiful scenery! Could have used a little less horse droppings in the trail though! :)

Beautiful location with lots of wildlife to watch.

This is a great place to hike with the family! My kids ages 6 & 8 had no problem with the trail. You won't be able to take a stroller here, however and the price to park is a bit steep if you don't have the CA Poppy park pass ($12) The trail is beautiful though and the pond usually has many turtles, although we didn't see any this past visit, I think it was a little cold. We always enjoy this little gem! 💎

Can someone please reply if there's closer/easier walk up access to Avery's pond by boat up North Fork American from Rattlesnake ramp rather than hiking in 2 miles? Thank you
