Reviews of Lake Doane pond

Wonderfully quiet place. Many many find memories form my childhood here. Also right next to Palomar outdoor school. Many hiking trails intersect at Doane pond. A perfect spot for multi day camping or a quick day trip.

Beautiful pond and a short trail loop around the perimeter. There are lots of trails off of this one. We saw ducks and tons of ladybugs

I have gone here for several reasons, including hiking, fishing, running and a couple church outings. If you stop by during the week, it can be quieter. And this is one of the better places I've come across plenty of deer. I think since hunting is not around, they're a little more comfortable roaming.

Pretty pond and nice shady areas looks like the Sierra Mountain Range without the crowds and bears. The pond could use some cutting down of the tullies and a little tree triming because it makes fishing tough for people that are very experienced at fishing. Very quite during mid-week.

Great place for hikers of all levels. Very short trails as well as longer ones depending on how much time you have.
