Reviews of Lake Lake berryessa

I have wanted to see the Glory Hole for a long time. I heard that the water was higher and spilling over, so my wife and I drove from an hour and a half away. It was worth it for us. There were many other visitors from all over as well. It was a relatively short drive into Napa to find a place to eat.

Lake Berryessa is a wonderful day & evening location filled with an abundance of hiking trails (leading up to and after the damn), fishing spots, room for boating, and great photography opportunities for all levels. The best times seem to be during the middle of the week if you want to park at the damn and enjoy a sunset leading into the starscape. The views are just phenomenal around the lake! There is always an occasional break in foot traffic at the dam where you don't need to walk in the gutter to view the glory hole, It is a wonderful stop heading up to Napa or Down to Winters/Vacaville. Unfortunately, sometimes trash can be found laying around some areas without trash bins. Anytime I am now out here, I've made it a goal for myself to try and clean up trash around my parking & hiking locations. This place is beautiful!

Beautiful Place, Very Less crowd , Ample Parking , It is in the opposite direction of popular destination which makes it a lake with very less crowd. Arrive early and you can have the whole beach to yourself. Has restroom and BBQ Pits. The roads are quiet windy to reach.

A smallish lake in Napa county. Gets very hot in the summers. Nice place for a picnic but too far away from the main areas

Honestly one of the best day trips i ever took. The lake was nice and warm, and the views were so nice. If you ever want some time in the sun, come here!
