Reviews of Lake Canyon creek lakes

One of the best hikes in the Trinity Alps. Multiple waterfalls on the way to Canyon Creek Lakes. The summertime is a great way to spend the weekend but doing this in the winter gives you complete solitude and deep powder! Year round, a perfect place to get away to.

This place is one of my favorite hikes still to this day. Absolutely gorgeous! We made a base camp further down since you can't have campfires in this area. This is a more popular trail, so you will see more people than you might other backpacking locations. There are plenty of great camps, and even with there being more people we still felt like we had privacy.

Awesome hike , I do it once a year!

This is a horrible place. Don't visit it. Too many beautiful waterfalls, amazing forest and wildflowers. The lakes are surrounded by tall cliffs in a majestic environment. Who wants to see that? From the parking lot to the upper lake is 8 miles. Too far. Don't go. You might see too many trees, river vistas and mountains around you. Stay away.

But you have to make it all the way up to Kalmia Lake to really be experienced.
