Beautiful hidden gem. Road is definitely rough to get there no trailers advised and high clearance vehicles are recommended but it doesn't stop people from getting there . 12 campsites 5 of them are lake front. I'd say I got really lucky to get one of the lake front for labor day weekend. By arriving Wednesday morning. And that's one of the busiest weekends for the season. By Thursday night the campsite was full. $15 a night is a bargain for this place even with no water and trash. If you want to enjoy this beautiful lake come here in the beginning of the random week. There is clean restroom @ the entry of the campsite and all campsites have tables and bear boxes and fire pit.

Beautiful Place, God's land for sure. I have seen a bald eagle here and the water is crystal clear! No showers, no trash cans (pack in, pack out), first come first serve!!!! (This doesn't mean drive up and pay for the site a week in advance. You have to be occupying the site. This doesn't mean put up a tent a leave. An individual probably an adult 18 and up. Now you can leave for the day but you have to be sleeping there!) With that said it is very hard to get a site here. I have tried five times and got a site twice. I would try over and over that's just me though. There are other places to camp but be prepared for no drop toilets near by or just give up and drive some where new. I would definitely give this place five starts. But I have given it three for the shear fact that is so darn hard to get a spot here.

People say this place is beautiful. It is. But the drive to get in, if the road isn't washed out, can be tough even for trucks. There are really no amenities and too many people know about it. This place was cool 40 years ago. Now, unless you show up on Tuesday forget about getting a camp spot for the weekend. Save the time and wear and tear on your vehicle and go someplace like icehouse.
