We went for the Bald Eagle Tour. Early morning departure on a nice barge with 15+ passengers. Takes about 3 hours with a bathroom and hot chocolate break mid way. The Eagles are so beautiful and in their natural habitat. I feel it's the best experience you can possibly have for $20. This will be an annual event for the wife and I.

Our kids had fun, there were glass beer bottles and shattered glass left behind though. The water was clear and tolerable. Great for a day trip!

Good camping experience when the water is not low. 3 stars only because the water level during my trip was very low. 4-4 1/2 stars when the water level is full. Check water levels prior to making reservations. Rv camping (full hookups if desired) and tent camping are available.

My granddaughter Makayla turns 21 of age so we all got together and ended up here for her birthday. Invited family & friends and now everybody left. And now were setting up our tents staying for 2 nights camping near the water...It's $10.00 just to get in the park for the whole day.

Beautiful lake about a half-hour east of Madera. We were there mid-March, after months of substantial rain, so the lake was fairly full and the land was quite green. We stayed in the RV loop, at site 117, which is on the outer loop with a great view of the lake. I'm not sure I'd like this place when the lake is low and it's hot and dry, so I'm glad we went when we did.
