What a wonderful park and lake! Beautiful trails with gorgeous trees - mostly shaded. Some of the trails that originate from the parking lot are pawed to a certain point. Parking 🅿️ is available at the lot- $5 to get in-, but there are not enough spots available, so park along the main road, it's free and safe. There's a bigger restroom available not too far from the parking lot. There are multiple wooden potty "structures" with hand sanitizer along the trails. There's a boat house by the main parking lot (you can rent small boats, kayaks, etc) and a small café with food. Closes at 5pm. The trail around the lake is 8.5-9 miles, with some intermittent elevation, but not too difficult. May be a bit messy after a more significant rain, so wear good shoes. Multiple scenic spots, benches here and there. It's a dog friendly park, please keep them leashed. Mountain bikers and horses are also welcome. Will be back soon.

One of the most beautiful lakes around the bay area where you can find family a lot of family friendly trails for walking, hiking, or cycling. There are also a lot of picnic areas with amazing views. There are a lot of parking spots in the parking lot for a fee.

A place with something for everyone. Street parking is free and usually there Is plenty open. If you want to park in the parking lot fee is 5. Both left and right sides of the lake have about 2 miles of paved path to accommodate bikes, walkers and runners. Once you are off the paved trail you can continue the hike around the lake on the columbine trail. This trail is dirt and I'd say rates a solid 3 out of 5 in difficulty given its distance which in total is just over 9 miles. Restrooms are scattered all throughout the paved portion of the trail and a few once you cross over to the dirt there are plenty of benches to rest. I've kayaked the lake which was nice but I must admit the water is a little gross but was a good work out. You can purchase fishing licenses buy food and drinks at the Cafe. I come here everyday and am thankful to have this place 6 minutes from home

Nobody had any luck fishing the morning I came. Planned to hit up the bait shop at 6:30 but employee somehow locked himself out and delayed everyone in line at least an hour. It was a good while after 8 when we got onto the water. At the end of the day, we asked other fishermen if they had any luck and all said no. Lake was soupy and covered in green algae. No visibility at all.
