Reviews of Lake Bass lake

Beautiful Bass lake approx.15 miles from the south entrance to Yosemite. Beautiful lake and surroundings and of course easy to get to one of the greatest National Parks.

I finally made the trek from Palomarin lot to Bass lake. What a gorgeous hike, heavy forest for a bit, then incredible coastal cliffside trails with a view of the ocean. I was mostly foraging and found a great variety of plants and fungi on my travels.

The lake looks great. It looks full, even in a drought year. Pay no attention to the other review about the resort. They got it confused the Bass Lake near Yosemite.

Not much here to do or see but it sure adds some characters to the trail. Don't just come here for the lake, you will not be impressed.
