We caught a good sized catfish and even a turtle on accident while getting good bites pretty frequently from early morning through the afternoon. We also saw what looked like HUGE grass carp occasionally jumping out of the water. Nice serene lake with plenty of good spots to fish from the bank, with a few shady spots. Great lake overall for fishing or just admiring the nice views

Beautiful park. Very well kept. Fishing, picnic, and kayaks are a great time here.

Glad they die the water it helps keep all the fish fresh looking. It is garlic scented so the fish are always hungry like when someone is in the kitchen baking yummy cookies and that vanilla smell radiates throughout your home. That's the same principle of dieing the lake blue green with garlic scent. The park rangers are smart biologists.

This is by far one of my favorite places.

Lake is pretty dirty but the fishing is not horrible. I caught my largest bass weighing about 5 pounds there and my largest catfish weighing 20 pounds. I recommend going to different spots around the lake until you get bites. If you catch a large fish DO NOT use a metal stringer. Use a rope one instead. My pb bass broke the stringer when I was pulling it in to leave. Overall good lake.
