This lake is about 15 minutes from Prescott. It is a small lake that is perfect for a day trip! You can't swim in the lake, but it is perfect for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, and boating (as long as it's 10 HP or less). I heard that there are bass, trout, catfish, and crappie at the lake. There are plenty of picnic tables and grills at one end of the lake. We decided to hike around the lake. There is a trail that is about two miles that takes you around the lake. I would consider it an easy trail. There are plenty of trees for shade as you make your way around the lake. My only gripe is that people should clean up after themselves. I thought the picnic area was a bit trashy. Remember the rule, leave no trace. It is a beautiful area, let's keep it that way!

I revisited one of my favorite stops while in town and it was as beautiful as ever! Its great now that your able to use your debit or credit card instead of having to bring cash to park. The serene environment and the stunning views always make it a perfect getaway. I can't wait to go back again!

A fun recreational area that is both kid and pet friendly and the parking permit is only $5 for the day.

Ahhhh, my home away from home... How do I love thee Lynx Lake? Let me count the ways. One, two, three, eleventy billion. Being just an hour and a half north of Phoenix this is an easy trip to escape the rat race. The campgrounds are amazing, the scenery gorgeous, the lake pristine, the air fresh, the trees green, the kayak rental company and its brilliant employees, the escape... priceless. I wish I could live there. I always want to get there and never want to leave. Wait a minute. I hate it, it's horrible, don't go!!! Can't have more people find it and get it too crowded. Trust me, stay away Phoenicians!! My only issue (see the Lynx Lake Cafe review I did) is one person. That angry, aggressive and rude parking jerk at the Cafe. No, that's not his job, he's just a hateful person and I hope one day learns a lesson. And it wasn't me he yelled at and disrespected so it's not personal. A jerk is a jerk amd this guy is a jerk. :) Oh Lynx Lake my Lynx Lake, how do I love thee? Eleventy billion and one..... see you soon.

Water level is pretty low and lots of grassy goo in the water so we didn't swim or get in the water but it was a great park for a small drum circle and jam!
